Manual annotation of the mouse genome is an ongoing project by the Havana group at the Welcome Trust Sanger Institute. Other groups who have been involved are as follows:

Washington University Genome Center

Manual annotation of selected loci was previously undertaken by the Washington University Genome Center as part of the KOMP project. This annotation has since been replaced by that from Havana.

Idd candidate regions from chromosomes 1, 3, 4, 6, 11 and 17

The sequencing and annotation of the Idd candidate regions by the Havana group was part of a collaboration with John Todd's and Linda Wicker's Diabetes and Inflammation Laboratory (DIL) at the University of Cambridge and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Funding is provided by the Wellcome Trust and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

DelBrown region from chromosome 4

Brown deletion region sequencing was performed at both the Sanger Institute and the HGMP/RFIGR. Sequencing and annotation by the Havana group were part of a collaboration with Ian Jackson's group at the MRC Human Genetics Unit at Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

Del36H region from chromosome 13

The annotation of the Del36H region by the Havana group was part of a collaboration with the UK MRC Mouse sequencing consortium, MRC Harwell.
